North American Hardcourt Ruleset

Some interesting developments are happening across the pond. A unified rule set is one step closer and it’s throwing up some interesting restrictions and changes to how we play. Check it out here. I’ve listed somethings that stuck out on my quick scan below.

Mallets:

180mm Max length
No cut outs with a diameter greater than 57mm
No pole protruding from the bottom of the mallet

Goals:

183cm Wide

Jointing:

Only permitted in your own half, doing so in the other half of the court results in a ball turnover

Contact:

There’s a lot in this area but no contact to opposing player’s steering arm below elbow is notable.
